5G Launch In India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 5G network in India today. 5G service was started on the first day of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 which started at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. All the telecom companies in the country are now fully prepared for 5G. In this program, 3 private companies in the country also demonstrated their 5G network in front of PM Modi. Reliance Jio chief Mukesh Ambani and his son Akash Ambani, Bharti Airtel chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal and Vodafone Idea chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla were present at the event along with Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Along with this, all the telecom companies have also made their own announcement to start 5G in the country.

Telecom companies demonstrated a 5G network in India

Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea also showcased their associated capabilities with the launch of 5G networks at IMC today.

• With the help of its True 5G technology, Reliance Jio connected a school teacher sitting in Mumbai to three different places in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Orissa. Along with this, Jio also showed the AR device made in the field of Augmented Reality (AR) and education.
• Airtel also used its 5G network to show that a girl from Uttar Pradesh understood the solar system with the help of hologram technology.
• Vodafone-Idea on its 5G network showcased how new technology can be used to protect people working in the Delhi Metro underground tunnel. In the program, the company also showed how these workers can be monitored in real time with the help of VR and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology.

Which company will Launch 5G and when in India?

• Airtel- Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said that airtel is starting 5G services in 8 cities of the country from October 1 today. Along with this, he also told that by 2024 5G network will be available in the whole country.
• Jio - Jio has already announced that the 5G service will start in metro cities of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai from Diwali. Reliance Jio chief Mukesh Ambani has also told today that Jio's 5G network will also reach the entire country by December 2023.
• VI- Vodafone Idea Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla says that the company will soon launch its 5G service in the country.
